Are there age or income requirements for admission to Elizabeth Towers?
This apartment community is for persons age 62 years or older; and the rents are based on income. For qualified persons, rent is just 30% of their adjusted monthly income and utilities are included with the rent.

Elizabeth Towers is designed specifically for independent senior adults who want to enjoy a lifestyle filled with recreational, educational, and social activities with other seniors. Your new home is a place where you'll feel the familiar comfort of friendship and neighborliness; where you'll have your place in the community, yet where you can retreat to the solace of your own apartment.
Are the apartments equipped with kitchens? Can I bring my own furnishings?
The apartments at Elizabeth Towers are spacious (click here for room dimensions) and come with kitchens that are equipped with major appliances and bathrooms with grab bars. As a convenience, there is are elevators, laundry facilities, refreshment machines, activity room, library, and lots of community space to host friends and special events. You are encouraged to furnish your apartment to your liking, incorporating the items that make you feel at home and most comfortable.

I'm worried that I may feel isolated - how can you reassure me?
At Elizabeth Towers we offer a game room, community room, social services, security and shopping within walking distance. Special programs and transportation available. Our tenant association sponsors activities and there are shopping buses to markets and malls. We are convenient to doctors and hospitals, churches, synagogues and more.
What are the HUD Requirements To Be Eligible?
Occupancy is limited to households in which the head or spouse is at 62 years of age. Applicants must certify their income and provide all financial information requested. Applicants must demonstrate the ability to pay rent on time and to meet the requirements of tenancy. Applicants must be interviewed prior to admission.
Further, as part of our affirmative fair housing marketing plan with HUD, we are making outreach efforts to attract persons identified as least likely to apply because of location or other factors. We are requesting your assistance in this effort by referring persons interested in this community to us for an application. Applications are accepted regardless of race, color, creed, religion, sex, handicap, familial status or national origin.
What if I become ill after moving in?
Units are rented on a yearly lease but can be broken with a 30 day written notice. Future medical conditions will not affect move-out policies. Residents can bring in a personal care aide or home health nurse.
How do I apply?
We accept applications on a continuing basis for occupancy in our efficiency and one-bedroom apartments. The apartments are maintained and rented in accordance with the rules and regulations of NJ Housing and Mortgage Finance Agency and HUD. Rental assistance is available to those who qualify.
